ILLUSTRATION

Illustration has been a passion of mine since a young age and I’ve had the opportunity on many occasions to be creative in such a way in a professional environment. Most of my illustrations are created as digital vector drawings which have been in animations or further enhanced in Photoshop.

This page shows a few examples created for various industries in recent years. Check out my Instagram page for more examples.

AMP Control
Energy Product Illustration

In 2020 I was commissioned to create a series of isometric illustrations for several of AMP Control’s solar and off-grid energy products.

This project was my first comprehensive use of 3D illustration techniques in Adobe Illustrator. Most components are made up of 2d shapes extruded at various thicknesses and rotated in the right perspective to provide a consistent look and feel.

Taurana Crossing
Wall Art Graphics

Tauranga Crossing, a shopping centre north of Auckland, New Zealand had a temporary mini-golf area set up for the school holidays in 2020. The agency I worked for was tasked with creating wall and poster graphics featuring ‘Kiwiana’ illustrations.

Using stock imagery as a starting point, I created sixteen illustrations paired with Kiwi slang to help make this space cohesive and fun.

Transport for NSW
Public transport express payments

In 2024, Transport for NSW wanted to educate its passengers that there are now quicker methods to check into modes of transport throughout the network after a significant investment in technology for its opal gates and tap-on locations. Quicker flows or people tapping on would equate to smaller queues in high-traffic locations.

Several ideas were pitched including the Fred Astaire-themed illustration (on the right) with the premise that you won’t need to slow down, stop, and miss a step in your journey to whichever various mode of public transport that a passenger chose.

Ultimately a concept was chosen that had been utilised in the past and several updated illustrations of the various tap-on devices were created (as shown in the concept on the far right).
