DIGITAL design
DIGITAL design
I began my digital design career freelancing for a mate’s theatre groups website while finishing my studies at university, practicing HTML and CSS coding, then went on to user interface design at Crust Gourmet Group. Digital design has followed me in most roles ever since.
I've delved into various aspects of digital spaces, ranging from designing for social media and email campaigns to creating online animated advertising. Additionally, I have crafted user interface designs for websites to be handed to developers, and I’ve also created some engaging video editing work. It’s fair to say that my extensive experience has been broad and diverse which has shaped me into the versatile designer I am today. Below are a few selected examples of my work.
Wylarah Product Tracing App
In 2021, the Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) partnered with Laava to create an app allowing customers to track AACo’s beef products and verify their authenticity. This product was trialled with AACo’s premium brand Wylarah. Data touch points are collected on the product from the beginning of the cattle’s life, right through processing, shipping, and finally to the customer.
This design concept resulted from extensive prototyping with marketing, and operations in cooperation with Laava.

Cammeray Square
Website Design
The Creative Nursery was asked to design and create a website design for Cammeray Square, Fortius a small shopping centre’s which services the local community at Cammeray in Sydney’s north.
My job was to design the website structure and interface, which were then handed to our developers to build. Other subtasks included photo-retouching and a centre directory illustration.

Social media design and curation
While at The Creative Nursery agency, I played a pivotal role in the strategic design and layout of social media campaigns for Midcity and The Barracks Shopping Centres. Collaborating closely with the account manager, I spearheaded the designs initially scheduled every quarter with periodic adjustments for unforeseen events and promotions.
In this capacity, I ensured a cohesive visual aesthetic by curating imagery primarily from retailers. These visuals were thoughtfully arranged to create a seamless narrative both on an individual post level and when viewed collectively as a grid. The campaign posts that were interwoven throughout the schedule seamlessly extended to other campaign collateral, including digital posters for in-centre promotions, the center's website, and its Facebook accounts.
Through these efforts, I consistently maintained a balance between engaging storytelling on social media platforms and ensuring brand consistency across all campaign touchpoints.

Merrifield City Animated Banners
These banners were animated for the Merrifield City Neighbourhood Block Party launch, which celebrated the first wave of retailers in the new centre. Storyboards were created for the frame-by-frame GIF banners for online advertising and an animated version was created and exported as a video to be used on Instagram.

Video editing
In 2022, I embarked on a video editing course, honing my skills in a new realm of creativity. With my experience in creating animated banners, storyboarding and this newfound expertise, I was provided the opportunity to craft a compelling video for a charity dinner and auction, conducted and sponsored by The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo).
The video can be found here.
Email marketing
Throughout my career, I have been involved with email marketing design at varying levels. Most of the time, the person requesting artwork only requires email banners or images created to spec for the digital space.
The examples shown above are when an email requires a bespoke design. Some coding involved is in Mailchimp or an equivalent email software cms for the design to look as it was intended.
User experience student project
In 2019 I had the pleasure of completing a short course in User Experience Design at Academy Xi. In this course, I learned and practiced UX tools and techniques on a personal project which I have applied to varying degrees in my practices as a designer.
My project can be found here.
